how to take a nap in a subway
Assignment done for Visual Image Making course at Ewha Womans University for the 22-2 fall semester. For this project, I was instructed to create a visual recipe/instruction of any daily activity. I decided on ‘how to take a nap in a subway,’ since it is something I often did daily. Moving from California where driving is the main mode of transportation to a country where public transportation is well-developed was quite a culture shock. At first, it was difficult to navigate subway lines and buses since I had only driven in California. And since I was too busy figuring out where to get off, falling asleep was the last thing on my mind. However, I quickly got used to taking public transportation due to having to go to my part-time job everyday after classes and because of my busy schedule, I ended up dozing off quite often. Basing it off of my repetitive schedule, I designed my visual instruction to resemble the visuals of a video game. In addition, I chose a color palette with darker tones in order to give off a sleepy mood.
